One night with Haydn brothers

Affiche Bordeaux

Find with this links informations about these concerts :

The "Ensemble Vocal Hemiole", run by Michèle Lhopiteau, has chosen this season to devote himself to the brothers Haydn, Joseph (1732-1809) and his younger brother Michael (1737-1806). If Joseph was in his lifetime the most famous composer in Europe, it has subsequently been long overshadowed by his best student, Ludwig van Beethoven. As for Michael, who made his career in Salzburg, Mozart, born 9 years after him, caused him a lot of shadow obviously.

These concerts are the perfect opportunity to come listen to and perhaps discover three works mistresses of the Haydn brothers, these two geniuses of the classical era : "Danklied" and the brilliant "Te deum" by Joseph, followed by the sublime "Missa Sancti Hieronymi' for keyboard and wind instruments by Michae -: works that will be accompanied by our best Bordeaux instrumentalists.

In the first part of his concerts 2017, the "Ensemble Vocal Hemiole" will invite you in addition to a musical journey in space and time.
